Worry Is Expecting God to Give Up
đź’ Bible Study:
If you say you believe God is faithful… why do you still carry the weight of fear?
If you say you believe He’s good… why do you still hold your breath waiting for the worst?
If you believe He keeps His promises… why are you still acting like He might change His mind?
Worry is not just a bad habit—it’s misplaced belief.
It’s saying with your lips, “God’s got this,” but saying with your actions, “What if He doesn’t?”
And deep down, if you keep expecting the worst… you’re really expecting God to give up. To walk away. To get tired of helping you. To say, “This is too much.”
But friend—He won’t.
He never gives up.
He never fails.
He never walks away.
And when you trust Him, really trust Him, worry has no power.
That doesn’t mean life will always look like you planned it. It means God will hold you through it.
So next time your heart starts to panic…
Pause.
Pray.
And remind yourself: He is still God—and He is still good.
🪞 Reflection:
Worry doesn’t mean God has lost His grip—it means you’ve loosened yours on His promises. Trust grows when you shift your focus from the “what if” to the “who is.” He is faithful. He is constant. He is for you.
âť“ A Question for You:
What am I really saying about God when I choose worry over trust?
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, forgive me for the times I’ve acted like You might give up on me. Teach me to release my fears and rest in Your promises. Help me trust that You care deeply, and that You are working all things for my good. Amen.
