After Easter…..Now What
Easter wasn’t meant to be a moment… it was meant to change us.
✨ After Easter… Now What?
All the hype is over.
The retail stores have already moved on.
The Easter clothes have been worn.
The eggs have been hunted.
And life is back to normal.
If you’re shaking your head… please stop.
Because after Easter, our lives should not be going back to normal.
Our lives should be changed.
Maybe you're thinking,
But I am a Christian.
I believe Jesus died for my sins.
I believe He rose again.
I’ve been baptized.
Why shouldn't my life go back to normal? My normal is believing.
I’m not judging you.
I’m not shaming you.
That’s not what I’m saying at all.
But every year after Easter… we should look different.
It should hit differently.
Because when we truly walk through Holy Week — from Sunday to Sunday — something should shift inside of us.
Palm Sunday… the praise.
The Last Supper… the humility.
The garden… the surrender.
The cross… the sacrifice.
The empty tomb… the victory.
If we really sit with those moments…
If we truly let ourselves feel them…
Our old normal shouldn’t feel good enough anymore.
Because Easter isn’t just a holiday.
It’s a transformation.
When we know better… we do better.
And every year we understand Easter just a little more deeply.
Every year we grasp the sacrifice just a little more clearly.
Every year we realize just a little more what Jesus truly did for us.
And when that happens…
We change.
Easter is the kind of holiday that should change us every year.
Not just for a day.
Not just for a week.
But for the rest of the year.
So if you started your week the same as always… stop.
Take a deep breath.
And ask Jesus:
"Show me how to be different this year."
Show me how to love more.
Show me how to forgive quicker.
Show me how to trust deeper.
Show me how to follow closer.
Because after Easter… we shouldn't just return to normal.
We should move forward… changed.
And here’s something beautiful to consider…
After the resurrection, Jesus didn’t ascend immediately.
He stayed.
For forty days.
He walked with His disciples.
He encouraged them.
He prepared them.
He strengthened them.
"After His suffering, He presented Himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that He was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days…"
— Acts 1:3»
What if we did the same?
What if we spent the next forty days intentionally sitting with Jesus?
Reflecting.
Growing.
Listening.
Learning.
Because at the end of those forty days…
Jesus ascended.
And He left us with the most beautiful gift…
The Holy Spirit.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you…"
— Acts 1:8»
So don’t rush past Easter.
Sit with it.
Let it change you.
Let it move you.
Let it become more than a moment…
Let it become a transformation.
📖 Scripture
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
— 2 Corinthians 5:17
