The Bible—A Guide to Find Him and Follow Him

đź“– Scripture:

"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." – Psalm 119:105

📝 Bible Study:

The Bible isn’t just a guide on how to follow Jesus—it’s also the guide on how to find Him.

It’s twofold.

Many people think of the Bible as a rule book, a set of instructions for living a "good life." And while Scripture does show us how to live righteously, that’s only part of its purpose.

Before it teaches us how to follow, it teaches us how to find.

Every page, every story, every promise points to the Savior.

From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reveals the heart of God and His plan to rescue and restore us through Jesus Christ.

In the beginning, He walked with Adam and Eve.

Through the prophets, He promised a coming Messiah.

In the Gospels, He sent His Son to walk among us.

Through the letters of the New Testament, He shows us how to live in the freedom and grace Jesus gave us.

The Bible is not just about what we should do—it’s about who we should know.

When you open the Bible, you aren’t just learning how to behave. You are encountering the living God. You are discovering His character, His love, His mercy, and His truth. You are finding a relationship, not just a set of rules.

Once you find Him—truly find Him—the rest naturally follows.

You don't just obey out of duty; you obey out of love.

You don't just change your behavior; you allow Him to transform your heart.

Don’t just read the Bible for guidance.

Read it to meet the One who wrote it.

Let it lead you not just to a better life—but to eternal life.

đź’ˇ Reflection:

The Bible is more than ink on paper—it’s God’s voice to you. How would your approach to reading Scripture change if you remembered you were meeting a Person, not just reading a book?

âť“ Question for You:

Do you read the Bible more for rules and guidance—or for relationship and intimacy with God?

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, thank You for giving me Your Word—not just as a guide for life, but as a way to find You. Help me to seek You first every time I open the Bible. Teach me to know You more deeply and to follow You more closely. Draw me into a real, living relationship with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

âś… Practical Step:

This week, when you open your Bible, pause before reading. Whisper, “Lord, I want to meet You here.” Write down one truth you learn—not just about life, but about Him.

🤝 Invite a Friend:

If this reminded you that the Bible is about relationship, not just rules, forward it to a friend who could use that encouragement too.
